Hughes is the comic book version of Drew Struzan.  Hughes iconic and memorable covers often contain textures so real you can practically feel them.  Hughes is one of the few artists whose work is so brilliant that I had to track down his early stuff.  It’s fascinating to see how clean his style is and has always been.
